Description
The 2018 crop experienced excellent ripeness and maintained a strong level of natural acidity, making for an exceptionally well-balanced wine with deep defined color and expansive aromatics. We blended fruit from several different Pinot Noir clones in our vineyard, including clones 667, 777, and 115. As a result, the wine presents lush, sweet, forward fruit, while also showing savory spiciness in the mid palate followed by fine tannins on the finish. This is a wine that is drinking well now but can also cellar for a long time, making this a very special vintage that we are extremely excited about.
The 2018 Domaine de Broglie Cuvée boasts exceptional clarity. Notes of cherry, strawberry, and mulberry dominate while hints of allspice and star anise peek through on the palate. This wine has beautiful silky length that reveals subtle notes of earth and flower petals on the finish.
